Carolyn Misterek

The idea of these spotlights stemmed from the fact that I follow a lot of artists and I get excited about their work and want to share with others. I think it was last year or so that I found Carolyn Misterek on Instagram during one of her rounds of surprise mini flower paintings and I don’t remember who I need to thank for the find, but her paintings are at the top of my list. From the mini flowers to the giant peony, multiple other ways she creates florals, nudes and portraits, her work is beautiful, textural and uses the prettiest color palettes. I’ve got a print of one of her coneflower paintings on my art ledge (zoom background) - it’s in the grid below 🤗 I’ve included a few many of my favorites below (couldn’t pick).
